Lady Gaga is stepping away from music… for now.
While stopping by the Toronto International Film Festival Friday to premiere her Netflix documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, the “Million Reasons” singer revealed her plans to take a “rest” from music and “slow down for a moment for some healing.” Speaking about the movie, which documented her struggles with chronic pain as she prepared for her Super Bowl performance, the 31-year-old opened up about her ongoing health issues.
“It’s okay… It’s hard,” she said, “but it’s liberating too.”
Gaga added she will continue to tour to promote her latest album, Joanne, while exploring other projects during her downtime.
“It doesn’t mean I won’t be creating. It doesn’t mean I don’t have some things up my sleeve,” she quipped. “My pain does me no good unless I transform it into something that is.”
The Golden Globe winner recently finished shooting a remake of A Star is Born with Bradley Cooper.
