Bye bye, modeling career!
Kendall Jenner is arguably one of fashion’s biggest names right now. She’s beloved by designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Riccardo Tisci. Everything she wears practically becomes a trend. Heck, you can’t open a magazine without seeing her signature pout. Though aspiring models would kill to be in her position right now, it seems the 22-year-old is ready to walk away from it all.
Despite being a fashion It-girl, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has plans to retire from the runway for a new acting career. According to a source, Kendall wants to follow best friend Cara Delevingne‘s footsteps — ditching modeling for a chance to become Hollywood’s next big actress.
Kendall Jenner doesn’t want to be modeling clothes forever.
Though she’s one of fashion’s most beloved It-girls and a muse to designers like Karl Lagerfeld and Riccardo Tisci, the 22-year-old has plans to leave it all behind to become a serious Hollywood actress. Like her best friend Cara Delevingne, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians staple is said to be plotting her big move from the runway and reality TV to pursue a career in acting.
“This is something that Kendall has always been interested in, and now she’s convinced she can make it happen,” a source told Radar Online.
Silver Screen Siren
Kendall, who first made her acting debut on a 2012 episode of Hawaii Five-0, is set to make an appearance in the forthcoming Ocean’s 8 spin-off. According to the source, the model hopes her cameo in the all-female reboot will capture the studios’ attention and open doors for her in the movie industry — something none of her famous sisters have managed to do.
“This is the real reason Kendall decided to delete her app and slow down on the modeling front,” the insider spilled.
Taking a Hiatus
Late last year, the reality star announced she would no longer be updating her official app after she was crowned as 2017’s highest-paid model. While she didn’t give a specific reason into why she was shutting down her official website, many fans presumed it had to do with the ongoing battle with anxiety, which was documented on an episode of her E! show.
“As I look ahead to the next year, my goals and priorities are changing,” she said in a statement. “I’ve had an incredible 2+ years connecting with all of you, but I’ve made the difficult decision to no longer update my app in 2018. I hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as I have, and am looking forward to sharing the next chapter with you. Love, Kendall.”
