She Burns Back
Dorinda also addressed the situation in her blog, claiming that she hadn’t known about the dinner before hand.
She went on to write:
“Why am I just being told this important information? I would have opted out of Bethenny’s happy hour early. But here we are…I am exhausted, and yes already feeling the effects of our happy hour festivities, and yes I should have listened to my inner intoxicated voice and went to bed so I’d be fresh for our morning mission. But I am not one to disappoint, so I put on my Pucci and head downstairs. And….well, the rest is burnt onto the corneas of all the viewers. Yikes. Okay, it wasn’t my best, or worst, that’s for sure! But for better or worse, I was trying to find common ground with people I had just met.”
She also got touchy about Bethenny’s comments on her late husband. Bethenny had referred to him as “slightly powerful and slightly political.”
In response, Dorinda wrote, “Richard, a man Bethenny never met and, of course, never asked about, was a sought-after advisor to financial icons like George Soros and politicians on both sides of the aisle from senators to presidential candidates. He also served in the Vietnam War and earned a doctorate in political science.”
“So Bethenny, stick to what you know — the booze business. And by the way, he’s Doctor Medley to you.”
Now that’s a savage clap back if I have ever heard one.
But Bethenny isn’t just feuding with Dorinda these days! She and former BFF Carole were far from friendly in Season 10, but fans were left speculating on why throughout the show. There were obvious hints of their fallout. Their fights became something far more serious than just a spat between friends. Most notably, Bethenny snubbed Carole out an invite when she was honored for her charity work. While some thought that maybe the two were just busy, it was revealed that there were a little more than that.
It seemed like it all came down to Carole’s sometimes on, sometimes off boyfriend Adam Kenworthy. Bethenny’s storyline in Season 10 primarily revolved around her work with Puerto Rico relief efforts, and she asked the photographer to be apart of her work. When he declined to help, citing that he needed to be compensated for his work, Bethenny said that it “just rubbed me the wrong way” and that Carole “didn’t mind it.” This, combined with Carole’s lack on interest in her former best friend’s efforts, put some distance between them.
It got so rough that sources were saying that Bethenny was trying to quit the show — and almost everyone, cast and crew alike, wanted her to go. A source told the Daily Mail that the women had “enough of her.”
“It all began with Carole calling time on their friendship. She’d had enough of being perceived as Bethenny’s puppet and she said enough was enough. They had multiple arguments over the period of filming, the worst when they filmed in the Berkshires,” the source explained. “Carole and Bethenny once did everything together, now Carole wants nothing to do with her.
“Bethenny freaked out and couldn’t handle that Carole was calling her out on her BS. Then the other women started telling her they’d had enough,” the snitch continued. “This set Bethenny over the edge that she called the heads of production and tried to resign. It didn’t work and she was forced to keep filming.”
Despite the fact that she was forced to keep filming, apparently her Real Housewives of New York City co-stars want her OUT.
“They feel they’d all be better off without her as she’s no longer the funny, smart girl next door that everyone liked,” the insider said. “She’s become mean and entitled and she belittles the other women as well as the crew.”
Both Bravo and Bethenny have since denied claims that the businesswoman was trying to resign from the show. One source close to the entrepreneur said, “It would take a lot more than Carole Radziwill for Bethenny to resign from the show.”
Can’t Take the Heat, But Wants to Own the Kitchen
But, there’s also apparently been some bad blood between Bethenny and the production team as well. According to another insider, the crew and Bethenny have been butting heads on scheduling.
“Here is the highest paid cast member constantly saying she is unavailable or too busy and then we see her on yet another vacation or out at her Hamptons home,” the source said about the Skinnygirl mogul. “It’s beyond frustrating and a slap in the face to the other women who always make themselves available to film – as it is their job!”
The snitch continued, saying that Bethenny also couldn’t stand to face the consequences.
“She doesn’t even do it on the down-low – she blatantly does it without a care in the world. Her Instagram story is an F-U to everyone who is doing their job,” the source said. “Yet when she is called on her behavior she freaks out and can’t take it.”
A separate production source said that many of the crew members were just about finished with the reality TV star and all her drama off-screen.
“On a trip to Puerto Rico, where she attempts to position herself as the second coming of Mother Teresa, Bethenny was downright mean to the production crew and threatened to have one of the crew members fired for getting lost during production,” the obviously totally not bitter insider said.
